We discovered that Mike's fathers name was definitely JOHN. Caroline listed her parents as: JOHN KASIK and CHARLOTTE SIMPLETSKI on her marriage license to 2nd husband. The family has always said that Mike and Caroline were brother & sister. So we don't need Mike's death certificate. So, we only need the info. from Germany on the births of all born in Germany as well as Mike's and John's marriages. Barbara said John's name was spelled "Bergnamm" but I had Bergmann which means miner. It seems that Gelsenkirchen, Herten & Carnap are all within 6 miles of each other in the Rhine province. Caroline immigrated from Germany on April 14, 1896 from Antwerp, Belgium. Last residence was Herten where Gustav was born in Dec. 1895. Any information would be greatly appreciated. sherry
