Charlotte June DeLoach Hawks

Humboldt, TN - Funeral service for Charlotte June Goodrich DeLoach Hawks, age 79, will be 6 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, with Bro. Jason Hargid officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Hawks, a former credit manager for The Jackson Sun for 28 years, and member of Smyrna Baptist Church, died Friday morning, February 3, 2012 in Jackson General Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruby McGlalughlin Goodrich, and a daughter-in-law, Christy DeLoach.

Mrs. Hawks is survived by husband, Marlon Hawks of Humboldt; two daughters, Shirley DeLoach Evans (Mack) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Charlotte DeLoach Holden (William) of Jackson; two sons, Thomas Raymond DeLoach (Debbie) of Jackson and James Michael DeLoach of Port Isabel, TX; a sister, Juanita Buckner of Humboldt; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a niece and a great niece.

She loved life, and serving the Lord and her family. Mama June touched the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smyrna Baptist Church, Humboldt, TN or to the Greenback Church of Christ Greenback, TN where her grandson is the preacher.
