Maternal grand parents are shown to be Antonio Gonzalez and Fermina Quiles. God parents are shown to be Avelino Ortiz and Ventura Rosado. Also, the record states that the birth was legitimate.

!CONFLICT: The surnames she was born with were Diaz Gonzales, however she may have used Diaz Ortiz, since her mother used Ortiz as her surname sometime after Julia's birth and most of her later adult life. The 1910 Census shows her surname as Diaz Ortiz.
