           Long Time Resident Dies:

       Mrs. Fred Randel
    Judah Elizabeth, third child of Jesse and Sarah Dugger was born August 11th 1884 in Reno County, Kansas. The Dugger family moved to Edwards County a year later and established their home on the farm south of Lewis.
    Lizzie, as Mrs. Randel was always known, received her education in the Blue Mound and District 40 Schools of this county.
    She was united in marriage to Fred Rosco Randel November 10th 1909 in her parents home. The Randels established their first home on a farm near Centerview, where they lived a short time. They moved to a farm South of Lewis, where they remained for about ten years, then moved to the present home site.
    Three children blessed this union, namely, Emery, Rozellah and George.
    Mrs. Randel was baptized early in life and was a faithful and loyal member of the Church of Christ at Lewis, Kansas until the time of her passing. Her interest was mainly centered in her family and home, and she was known and respected for her honesty and industriousness. She had been in failing health the past 7 or 8 years and departed this life in the Grogan Convalescent Home in Kinsley, Kansas.
    Life for her covered 74 years, 7 months and 21 days. She leaves to mourn her passing the husband of the home, one daughter, Rosellah Titus of Hobbs, New Mexico, two sons, Emery Randel of Redwood City California and George Randel of Midwest, Oklahoma, two sisters, Mrs. Nora Trotter of Kinsley, Kansas and Mrs. Ida Randel of Lewis, Kansas.
    One brother Owen Dugger and one sister, Mrs. Lucy McKinney of Lewis and 4 infant sisters preceded her in death.
    One Granddaughter, Sharon Kay Randel of Redwood City, California, seven grandsons, A. N. Ronald Randel of Memphis, Tenn., Theron Titus, Ft. Stockton, Texas, Gale, Duane, and Gary Titus of Honns, New Mexico, Mark and Brian Randel of Midwest, Oklahoma, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held at the McKillip Mortuary in Kinsley on Friday afternoon with interment in the Trotter Cemetery near Centerview.
    Roy Harris of Beloit was the minister in charge and pallbearers were: Merle Mundhenke, Vincent Hornbaker, Bruce Sibley, Lee Davis, Johnny McKinney and Henry Kinkelaar.
    Out of town relatives and friends attending funeral services for Mrs. Fred Randel were: Mr. and Mrs. Theron Titus, Fort Stockton, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Titus and sons, Hobbs, New Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. George Randel and son, Midwest, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Randel, Redwoos City, California, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Randel and Frank Randel, Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Eggleston, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drake and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Drake, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dugger of Dodge City, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dugger and daughters of Jetmore, Jesse Dugger of Haviland, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harris, Beloit, Mrs. Bob McBurney, Kingman, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gary, Big Bow, Mrs. Melvin Dinwoody and Mrs. Elva Wayland of Hugoton.

            LEWIS LADY DIES AT REST HOME
    Mrs. Fred Randel, 74, of Lewis died Tuesday night at the Morkel Rest Home in Kinsley. Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at the McKillip Funeral Chapel with concluding services in Trotter cemetery.
    Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Rozella Titus of Hobbs, N. Mex., and two sons, Emery of Redwood, Calif., and George of Midwest City, Okla.
