Obituary

Jud Daniel Haines, beloved son of Dan Haines and Lavona Howard Haines, died unexpectedly on July 15th, 2021.

Jud was born on September 25th, 1986 in Marion, OH where he graduated from Marion Harding High School.

He was possessed of a generous heart, and known for his kindness, and willingness to help others, as well as his sense of humor. When Jud was in school, teachers would have him welcome and help new students navigate their way around knowing he would be kind to the “new kid.” He was always ready to help his family and friends in any way and he took great care of his grandma, taking her to appointments, shopping, seeing to home repairs and making gardening decisions.

He loved his dogs, from his first boxer Bud to his current boys Vader, Lugar and Ruckus and all family dogs in between. And they loved him.

He had an innate ability to do all types of home remodeling, landscaping and equipment repair and was a perfectionist at heart.

Even though he had his personal struggles, he was never one to complain, but always ready with a smile and willing to find humor in a situation.

He will be greatly missed by his family whose hearts are shattered and his many friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Harley Haines, Jr.; his maternal grandfather Kenneth Howard and maternal grandmother Shirley Howard. Jud is survived by his daughter Madison (Maddie) Kay Colegrove; his sisters Stacey Haines, Jennifer (Chris) Schwab and Nikki Hale; his brother Shawn (Trisha) Simpkins; his paternal grandmother Joanne Haines; his aunts Elizabeth (Lisa) Haines and Deborah Howard Washington; his fiancé Rhonda J. Childers; as well as many nieces and nephews; and an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial gathering will take place on Saturday July 24, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Service from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, where a service will start at 2:00 PM.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice and no one will take your joy from you. - John 16:22
