Biography

The following biography of Isaac Edwards is from: Carroll 1765-1815: The Settlements, By John Perry Alderman; Published by Alderman Books, 1985, p. 159 Joshua Edwards Joshua was born Jan. 1, 1786, after his parents, Isaac and Catherine Edwards, moved to Little Reed. He married Nancy Hill in 1810 in Grayson and was deeded half of his father’s grant in 1813 (Grayson, D. B. 3-137). He lived on it for twenty years, selling out and moving away in 1836 (Grayson, D. B. 7-390). The writer has no record of his family and does not think he has any descendants left in the county.
