{geni:about_me} Mrs. Carteaux Dead Aged Former Resident of This County and Mother of Gus Carteaux Has Succcumbed 

 Mrs. Joseph Carteaux, 84, is dead at the home of her son, Frank, at Fort Wayne, having passed away after an illness of a few days, although the aged lady had been failing for some time.  Gus Carteaux, of this city, was called to Fort Wayne a few days ago, because of his mother’s illness and was at her bedside at the time of her demise.
 Mrs. Carteaux was a resident of this city for sixty years, having resided until two years ago on the Carteaux farm southwest of this city in Monroe township.  Besides the two sons above mentioned, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Frank Henry, near Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Leo Ranier (sic), of Monroe township.
