    oseph Decker VanAlst,a resident of Walden, died last Thursday at Horton Hospital in Middletown, after a long illness. He was 67. Born in the town of Crawford, December 6, 1892, he was the son of Moses and Sarah Frances Decker VanAlst and was married to the former Edna Corkey. Mr. VanAlst,a retired farmer, spent most of his life in the Town of Crawford.
    Survivors are his widow; a daughter Mrs. Richard Smith of Walden; a grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were conducted Sunday from the DeWitt Funeral Home, Pine Bush. The Rev. Leslie D. Bartlett officiated. Burial was held in the Brick Church Cemetery, Montgomery.
