Facts and Events
Joseph Perry was baptised on 22nd September 1793 at Eversholt in Bedfordshire, son of Ann Perry, formerly Alce, and her husband John Perry.
On 8th June 1814 Joseph married Martha Munday, who was originally from Marston Moretaine, a few miles to the north. They married and settled in Eversholt, having six children baptised there between 1815 and 1830.
Joseph's father died in 1820.
The 1841 census finds Joseph and Martha, some of their children and Martha's sister Hannah living at Froxfield in Eversholt. Joseph was working as an agricultural labourer. Joseph's mother died in 1844. Joseph and Martha were still at Froxfield in 1851, with Joseph described as an under gardener, whilst Martha was a laundress.
Joseph died in 1854, aged 60. Martha survived him by about ten years.
