OBITUARY: Marriage and Death Notices from the South Western Baptist Newspaper Compiled by Michael Kelsey - Nancy Graff Floyd - Ginny Guinn Parsons Joseph J. Knight, son of John and Brunetta Knight, died of typhoid fever in the hospital in Richmond, Virginia, June 11, 1862, age nineteen years, six months, six days. He was born in Jasper County, Georgia, December 5, 1842, and in early life removed with his parents to Chambers County, Alabama which home he left in August last as a recruit for the Loachapoka Rifles, Sixth Alabama Regiment…Uncle Joe joined the Baptist Church at the age of sixteen. A Niece.
