Published unknown newspaper, copied from a scrapbook at the Michigan State Library in Lansing - An active life passed to the Great Beyond on Fri Aug 10, 1923 at 12 o'clock after 2yrs of painful suffering. He was born at Arcadia, Wayne, NY on Jan 31, 1853, when 18mos old his parents moved to Michigan & settled in Wheatfield Twp where he grew to manhood. Nov 30, 1876, he was united in marriage to Miss Fannie Sebring of Zurich, NY. To them 3 children: Mrs.Myra Bravendar, Mrs. Flora Hammond & Fred Dennis all of Wheatfield Twp & all of whom were with him & administered to his needs during his illness. In April 1878 he was made Master Mason of the Williamston lodge. He being the oldest Master Mason raised in this lodge. He was 2nd son of six children born to Leonard & Clara Dennis. 3 brothers having passed on before leaving two sisters: Mrs Sarah Swan of Williamston & Mrs.Corla Carl of Lansing who with the children and five grandchildren are left to mourn their loss.
