Marrige to Caroline by Rev. Mr. Wright. Joseph Caverly moved from Sidney TWP, Lot 31, Con 4 (present site of Sidney TWP Municipal Office) to Madoc. Lot 31, Con 4 may have been first residence of Caverly family in Hastings County.

Caverly Later 1953 names Thomas C. Caverly and wife - Colin I Ross & Kathreen Ross his wife as joint tenants (Grantee)

Conclusion

Joseph and Caroline Caverly - Thomas C. Caverly was their son and appears to have inherited the land

Kathleen Caverly and Joseph Melbourne Caverly were children of Thomas and appeared to have inherited the land.

Karhleen married Colin I Ross - their son Thomas A. Ross seems to be the last person to inherit the land. I do not know wher eit went from this point.

Newspaper - Aug. 8, 1862 Madoc Daily Express Omnibus for route from Madoc and Belleville built by Brown & Caverly of Madoc.

- Weekly Intelligencer, Pg 3, col 4, 1862 Feb 21, Madoc partnership dissolved. Also,  2/1/1862 Brown & Caverly mutually dissolved.

Oct. 17, 1863 The Madoc Mercury Newspaper - Joseph wins "best lumber sleigh" at the Madoc Fall Fair.

Belleville Intelligencer 1862-64, an omnibus (stagecoach) built by Brown & Caverly used between Belleville and Madoc.

In 1851 census Joseph is listed as single in Madoc and Caroline single with her parents Isacc and Fanny. 1861 census Joseph, Caroline, Astor (probably Ester), G.H. (George Henry), Amos, Charles. Religion EM. 1871 census- no record 1881 census Joseph listed in Madoc wtih Caroline,Charles, Bertha, Dorland, John, Hattie, Thomas. Religion - Methodist. (listed as German?)
