Robert D. Caverly talked to Ed Jennings who told him a family story that George H would spend all day in the hotel at Madoc playing checkers but, not drinking. This was one of the reasons his wife wanted him to do something and they considered moving. Many other families they new had already moved to MB (Simms, Ashellys, Bradleys).
