    Jonathan was the son of Peter Wood. He married Catherine Ridge on April 20 1807 in Bucks County, PA by Jos Thomas, Esq [BUCKS COUNTY INTELLIGENCER, MARRIAGE NOTICES, Vol I 1804 - 1834 (Doylestown, PA: Bucks Co Genelogical Society, 1988) pp. 171 and 234. Marriage of Jonathan Wood, son of Peter Wood of Philadelphia to Catharine Ridge, dau of William].

    Orphan's Court File No. 5558 (Myers, p. 485) File No. 5558, Sep 16 1843: Johnathan [sic] Wood, Plumstead Twp. Widow Catharine and eight children - John, Hiram [sic] Mary Ann, Julian, Charlotte (wife of Enoch Keller), Clarrissa (wife of Henry Clemmer), Susanna Jane and Philaanna (wife of Reuben Slyfer)."
