Peter Wood lived in Plumstead, Bucks Co., PA and was married to Rebecca Cosner March 20, 1776 after serving in the Pennsylvania Associators Aug. 21, 1775 under Capt. William McCalla, Plumstead Company. He served in this company along with his father-in-law Peter Cosner and the well known Gibsons; Robert Gibson Sr., Jr., and John Gibson (Robert Gibson Jr. killed the leader of the Doan Gang in 1783; Moses Doan. See haygenealogy.com). Peter and Rebecca had 13 children; at least three of their daughters were buried in the Third Baptist burial ground which is defunct. The people buried there were re-interred in Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Delaware Co., PA in 1900. Peter and Rebecca lived in Plumstead, Bucks Co., PA until 1798 and then they moved to Southwark, Philadelphia, PA.
