Catherine was the daughter of William and Catherine (Marshall) Ridge. She married Jonathan Wood in April 1807. Her mother, Catharine Marshall, was the daughter of Edward Marshall (of Walking Purchase fame) and Elizabeth Oberfield. Elizabeth Oberfield Marshall was murdered during an Indian raid in May 1757.
Catharine [sic] 73 is found living in Plumstead Twp in 1850 Census, with Lutian? Wood, (female) age 28, only a few doors away from her son Hiuel and his family (PA BUCKS PLUMSTEAD 1850; Series: M432 Roll: 758 Page: 219).
In 1860 Catherine Wood, 80, is listed with Julian 40, (female) and Johnathan 12 (WOODS [film appears to be WOOD] CATHARINE 80 F W PA PA BUCKS PLUMSTEAD TWP 1860;Series: M653 Roll: 1085 Page: 549).
