Humphrey Turner of Scituate had two sons named "John", who lived to marry. The first John, called "the Elder", married 10 Nov 1645 Mary Brewster, d/o Jonathan and granddaughter of William. The second John, called "Junior" or "the younger", married 25 Apr 1649 Ann James.

Husbandman", dated 4 Mar 1695[/6], probated 28 Jun 1697, mentions "my Son Jonathan Turner", "my Son Joseph Turner", "my son Ezekiel Turner", "my Six Grandchildren hereafter named that is to say Isaac Turner, John James, Thomas Prince, Margret Turner, Alice Prince, And the Eldest Child of my son Ezekiel Turner", "my Son John Turner", "my son Elisha Turner", "my son Amos Turner", "my Daughter Grace Christophers", "my dearly beloved wife Mary", "my four Daughters; That is to say Lydia Mary Ruth & Grace", "My Son Benjamin Turner", "my two Sons Jonathan an[d] Joseph Joint Executors".
