The inventory of John's estate was taken 3 March 1711/12, and amounted to £174:01:02. Administration of the estate was granted to John Thompson and Thomas Hart, Jr. on 4 February 1711/12. No widow is named in the proceedings (Manwaring 2:312 which adds the distribution of son John's estate to the father's record). One reason for the small total on the inventory is that John executed a deed of gift dated 3 December 1707 which distributed his land among his sons John, Thomas and Samuel (Farmington Deeds 1:42a)."
