    John Swinton, 26th of that Ilk is the son of Sir John Swinton, 25th of that Ilk and Anne Sinclair.2 He married Mary Semple, daughter of Reverend Samuel Semple and Elizabeth Murray, in 1722.1 He died in 1774.1
