- ↑ GALESBURG - John F. Sheeley, 74 of 1145 Frank St. died at 9:45 AM Monday, March 5, 2001, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. He was born Feb 20, 1927, in Galesburg to William F. and Vera B. Hartnell Sheeley. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He had worked for several different factories. Graveside services will be at 10 AM Thursday at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Thomas Heather will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel in in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to any charity.
