John Pratt was baptised on 21st February 1803 at Willian in Hertfordshire, son of Elizabeth Pratt, formerly Copps, and her husband John Pratt, a labourer. John had a twin brother called George. Sadly both twins died as babies, being buried the month after their baptism.
