    The 24 Day of Dec[embe]r 1798
    ON which Day personally appeared John Pratt of the Parish of South Mims in the County of Middlesex Diocese of London and being Sworn on the Holy Evangelists, alledged and made Oath as follows: That he his of the Age of twenty one years & upwards & a Bachelor & intends to marry with Elizabeth Copps of the Parish of Willian in the County of Hertford Diocese of Lincoln & Archdeaconry of Huntingdon a singlewoman of the Age of twenty one years & upwards
    Not knowing or believing any lawful Let or Impediment, by reason of Consanguinity, Affinity, or any other Cause whatsoever, to hinder the said intended Marriage. And he prayed a Licence to solemnized the said Marriage in the Church of Willian aforesaid, and within the said Archdeaconry, in which the said Parish Willian she the said Elizabeth Copps hath had her usual abode, for the space of four Weeks last past.

    Know all Men by these Presents that We John Pratt of the Parish of South Mims in the County of Middlesex a Labourer & John Lucas of the Parish of Willian in the County of Hertford a Farmer are held and firmly bound to John Hodgson Master of Arts Commissary in and through the whole Archdeaconry of Huntingdon lawfully appointed in two hundred pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to the said John Hodson or his Certain Attorney Executors Administrators or Assigns for the true payment whereof we bind ourselves and each & every of us...
