Facts and Events
The Moses family is well documented in "Historical Sketches of John Moses of Plymouth, John Moses of Windsor and John Moses of Portsmouth". It is out of print, unfortunately, but available via Google Books. It gives lots of history of the progress of the founding families from Windsor to Simsbury. Deborah Thrall married John Moses III. Another son of Timothy Thrall and Deborah Gunn, John (b.6/5/1671, d.4/1/81732), married Mindwell Moses, sister of John Moses III. "The Moses line is something of a mystery. We know that John Moses I, along with John Moses II, was in Plymouth, Massachusetts, before 1640 and that John II removed to Dorset shortly after. It is not certain when they came to America and where they were from. We do know that John I was a shipwright. That is well documented. Also, they were Anglicans."
