This John is placed in that family based on eliminating the other Moore families of Warwick as possibilities, guided by the assumption that a father John would probably name one of his older sons John. See also the discussion on Person:John Moore (400), who would have been too young to marry Polly Melendez. That this John Moore's wife Polly was still alive until 1861 rules out the possibility that that John married both her and his wife Fanny.
