Syracuse Herald Journal, 1 Nov 1966: JOHN MCSWEENEY Fulton-- John W. McSweeney of 357 Clark [!] ST died suddenly Sunday at his home. A life resident of Fulton, he owned and operated a sheet metal business. He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the Nocturnal Adoration Society and St. Joseph's Council, Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gail McSweeney; two sons, Thomas of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Edward McSweeney of Fulton; a daughter Miss Marie McSweeney of Hamden, Conn.; a grandson; and a sister, Miss Catherine McSweeney. Services will be... Thursday... in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
