    He moved to Bureau Counyt in the fall of 1833 and bought an unfinished saw mill from Timothy Perkins on Bureau Creek.

    Married Fidelia McCord in 1806, when Leeper's family moved to Georgia. Moved to TN, then Bond Co. IL. Moved to Morgan Co., 1823, farmed. Founder 1st Presbyterian church of Morgan Co. Served as representative, Illinois House, Vandalia. Involved in founding Illinois College. Moved to Putnam Co. in 1831. Injured and died while working at his mills.
