Mary LEEPER (sometimes seen as Leiper) was the wife of James COFFEY (Sometimes seen as Coffee). Mary Leeper was born on June 28, 1769, in Cumberland County, near Shippingsburg, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of James and Mary (Blair) Leeper. Mary Leeper Coffey died July 27, 1861 in Marshall County, Tennessee.
She and her husband were buried in Round Hill Cemetery. and their tombstones read as follows:
"Sacred to the Memory of James Coffey who was born in Pennsylvania August of the 17th. 1761 and died the 20th of December in Tennessee in the year 1836 age 77 yrs 4 mos. 3 days
Mary wife of James Coffey of Revolutionary fame Born Jan. 28, A.D. 1769 died July 27, A.D. 1861"
