Scotch descent, per letter by J.W. Laird, 1898. Came to Ohio about 1810, settling at Chillicothe until his death. LAIRD WILLS Case No. 4330 I John Laird Senr of the County of Ross, State of Ohio being in imperfect health of body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament in manner following - that is to say.- Item 1st. I give and devise to my beloved wife, the house and Lot on which we now reside, situated in the City of Chillicothe during her natural life.-and at her decease the said property to be equally divided among all my children. Item 2d. I give and devise to my son John my Silver Watch. Item 3d. I give and devise to my son Jesse Wesley my Desk. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of August in the year 1846.
