John H Klotz.

ROARING SPRING, April 29.--John Henry Klotz, well-known lumberman, reside nt of Morrison’s Cove for many years, died at the Nason Hospital yesterd ay at 12:40 a.m. after a year’s illness, three weeks of which were spe nt at the hospital. Mr. Klotz was a son of David and Katharine Klotz, bo rn at King March 28, 1853. He was married to Henrietta Dively at King, Ju ne 14, 1874. She died in 1912. His second marriage was to Minnie Swope, De cember 9, 1914. All his life he had been a member of the Barley Lutheran C hurch at Baker’s Summit and also belonged to Spring Valley Grange, Fishert own. He was noted for his interest in civic affairs.

Surviving are his widow and 10 of the 12 sons and daughters of his first m arriage: Mrs. David Teeter and George Klotz, New Enterprise; David Klot z, Altoona; Charles Klotz, Garrett, Ind.; Jacob Klotz, Detroit MI.; Mr s. Moses Bessman, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Miss Gertrude Klotz, Somerset; John Klot z, New Paris; Michael H Klotz and Mrs. Guy Mock, Baker’s Summit; 22 grandc hildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George Hengst, Roari ng Spring.

The body was taken to the home of his son, M.H Klotz, Baker’s Summit. Fune ral service will be held in the Barley Lutheran Church, the Rev. Albert Sp eck in charge. Interment will follow in the Holsinger Cemetery.
