I do not know for sure that this John is the son of John Kite from Hawkins County. This is just a gut instinct based on several facts: 

    1.  Hawkins John Kite did not have a son named John by his second wife.
    2.  Salley Kite and this John were both married by Weden Sleet with bond by Wiley Bates in Boone County, KY.  Salley Kite WAS        the daughter of John Kite of Hawkins Co. 
    3.  Margaret Miller, this John's wife, had a sister, Mary, who married James Baxter Daniel, the brother of William Daniel.           William Daniel married Salley Kite (mentioned above).

  1.   This John Kite was not born in Boone County Kentucky as there were no Kites in Boone County in 1799. The first Census record for Kites in Boone County is 1820, but Sarah Kite Daniel was married in Boone in 1815. This John was probably born in Hawkins County, TN.
