Proof that John was son of Samuel is given by the following deed wherein John is selling 230A of the 450A that Samuel had owned during his lifetime. This deed also indicates John's wife's given name is Sarah. Samuel's will is among the missing wills so this deed is the only verification found that this John is Samuel's son.

1739 24 Feb Deed book D page 327-332
Lease: 24 February 1739 JOHN JACKSON of the Parish of Overwharton in the County of Stafford and Thomas Harrison of the Parish of Hamilton in the County of Prince William. For five shillings John leased 234 acres lying in the Parish of Hamilton and the county of PW on the south side of the Quanitco Run said land John Jackson holds as a legatee under last will and for account of his father SAMUEL JACKSON it being part of a parcel of land granted to Samuel Jackson the father of John for 450 acres by deed from the proprietors' office in 1694. Bounded etc etc on the south side of Occoquon Run.
Signed John J. Jackson his mark. Witnessed M. Battaloy, Tho's Young, Rob't Boggoss.
Pages 327-329 Release: 25 February 1739 same essential verbage except 60 pounds sterling instead of five shillings. So this is actually a sale of the 234 acres. The release indicated John's wife SARAH was examined privately and relinquished her dower right to the property.

And this earlier record sheds more light on this John: 1725 Nov 11 Mary Jackson, widow, of Stafford County, gives her two sons livestock and other personal property, to be delivered to son James Fennois now 15 at age 20 and to son John Jackson now 13 at age 20. [Stafford County Deed book J, p. 196-197, from abstract by Ruth and Sam Sparacio, with correction of date from microfilm of original.] From this we draw the conclusion that Samuel's second marriage to Mary MNU Fennois occurred about 1712; his step-son James Fennois born abt 1710 and his son John-1 born abt 1712.
