Cartmell, an early Virginia historian, adds to the list of deeds from grantor Hite as recorded in Orange County, Virginia, Courthouse prior to the first term of Court in Frederick County, Virginia. The last entry in this list shows Hite's real-estate partnership with Messrs. William Duff and Robert Green. Robert MacKay was Hite's first partner.
