JOHN ELMER GREEN

A lifelong resident of McKee and Pennsylvania railroad shopman, died last midnight at his home, death following shortly after he had been stricken with a heart ailment. He had been in apparently good health and worked in the shops yesterday. He was the son of Joseph and Susan Green and was born at McKee on Jan. 14, 1881. He was united in marriage with Alma Boyer at McKee on Jan. 2, 1939. She survives, with these children: Russell Green and Mrs. Ruth Shaw of McKee, Mrs. Winifred Mattern of Canoe Creek, Emma Green, and Mrs. Josephine Emeigh, both of Altoona, and John and Eva, at home. Two children, Ronald and Harold, are deceased. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and three brothers, Blair [remainder of obit -- from column 2 -- illegible on original microfilm]
