1818 - In the Poll Directory for the County of Lincoln, there is a John Grasby, farmer, listed under the Ancaster area.

1840 - Although records indicate that John was buried at St Martin's Church, Ancaster, the left side of his wife's gravestone remains uninscribed. Age was given as 80 years.
