John Garland came to Salem from Newfoundland shortly before he died. He left no will, but did leave monies and good in both Newfoundland and England, and is said to have had several daughters.

It is not clear whether this is the same John Garland who is lited in Sir John Berry’s 1675 census as a planter with four daughters in Muskets (Mosquito) Cove, or whether he might be related to that John Garland.
