    JOHN FURROW FAMILY

    John Furrow, of German descent, the first Furrow in Floyd County in the early 1800's as a widower. He was a former soldier in the Loudoun County Militia during the American Revolution and brought with him his children Adam, John, Charles, Mathias, Christina and Barbara. Mathias remained in Floyd County after John Furrow Sr. died in April of 1832.
