Facts and Events
John Dugger was named in the Nov 1811 court record listing the heirs of Daniel Dugger, deceased. John was listed as an infant meaning he was under 21. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 24 page 357). John Dugger was named in the Jan 1812 court record showing the division of the estate of Daniel Dugger. John received 42 acres from the estate. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 24 page 514). On 4 Aug 1817 John Dugger of Petersburg sold 45 acres to William Dugger of Brunswick for $180, land bordering Mary Dugger, Elizabeth Stainback and William M. Dugger. Witnesses were James Rawlings, John D. Kirby, and John B. Rice. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 24 page 138). John wasn’t listed on the 1820 census as far as I could find. On 12 Dec 1829 several of the heirs of Daniel Dugger made a mortgage deed amongst each other: George Stainback of Brunswick of the 1st part; William M. Dugger of the 2nd part; Daniel Dugger, John Dugger and Henry Dugger of Town of Petersburg of the 3rd part. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 28 page 310). John Dugger was listed on the 1830 census in Petersburg near his brother Henry. Analysis:
