I don't know where Henry Dugger was for the 1810 census. He didn't seem to be with his mother in Sussex Co., VA. In Feb 1811 court, Richmond Dugger was appointed guardian of Henry Dugger, orphan of Daniel Dugger. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 24 page 134). In Nov 1811 court Henry Dugger was named as one of the heirs of Daniel Dugger. He was also listed as an infant, meaning he was under 21. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 24 page 357). In Jan 1812 court, Henry Dugger was given 28 acres in the estate division of his father Daniel Dugger, deceased. (Brunswick Co., VA Order Book 24 page 514). I don't know where Henry Dugger was for the 1820 census. He didn't seem to be with his mother in Brunswick Co., VA. On 29 Jan 1823 Richmond Dugger made his Will in Brunswick County and named his "brother Henry" as Executor. (Brunswick Co., VA Will Book 9 page 289). On 12 Dec 1829 several of the heirs of Daniel Dugger made a mortgage deed amongst each other: George Stainback of Brunswick of the 1st part; William M. Dugger of the 2nd part; Daniel Dugger, John Dugger and Henry Dugger of Town of Petersburg of the 3rd part. (Brunswick Co., VA Deed Book 28 page 310). Henry Dugger was listed on the 1830 census in Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., VA near his brother John. Analysis:
On 6 Nov 1837 Henry Dugger was named in the will of Daniel Dugger as "brother Henry". (Brunswick Co., VA Will Book 13 page 204). Henry Dugger was listed on the 1840 census in Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., VA. Analysis:
They moved to Alabama during the 1840's. For some reason Henry and wife were in different households on the 1850 census in Marengo Co., AL.
