John N. (or "M") Dugger was born ca 1814/1815 per his age on the 1850 census (35). He was born somewhere in Georgia per the same source. His parents aren't identified, but it seems likely that he is a brother of Robertson B. Dugger (c1826) who was living with him in 1850. There is no doubt that John and Robertson are part of the large John Dugger (c1741-1810) family of Georgia. Robertson married in Bulloch Co., GA in 1847, so it seems likely that John was from that area too originally. Certain factors lead me to believe that John and Robertson are children of David Dugger (c1791) and Tempy Milton but I don't have absolute proof. On 30 Aug 1839 John M. Duggar married Mary Cone in Jefferson Co., FL which bordered Thomas Co., GA where he lived at that time. I wasn't able to find John listed on the 1840 census in GA or FL. They are listed on the 1850 census in Thomas Co., GA. Probable brother Robertson Dugger was living with them.
They were on the 1860 census in Thomas Co., GA. It appears that Mary had died by this time and John had married Dorry (---). There are some children with them that weren't with John in 1850 but were old enough to be. They may be Dorry's from a previous marriage.
