Note John1 Drisco of Wells had a wife Sarah who by tradition was born in England maiden name Emerson. Don't confuse him with Teague/Timothy1 Drisco of Exeter who had a wife Sarah who was almost certainly Sarah Pitman. Both men had sons named John. John2 of Wells disappeared by 1717. John2 of Exeter married Mary Getchell and had children. These two families are often conflated on the Internet.

John appears 1683 in Wells and dies there 16 Jul 1697 and administration is granted to John Cooper of Berwick. I verified this in The Essex Genealogist 28:95. It was witnessed by Nicholas Green and Benjamin Nason. John1 of Wells married Mary Emerson (Emerson by tradition an immigrant from England). They have three children whose births are recorded in Wells vital records: Sarah (married Sylvanus Nock), John (who disappeared) and Mercy (married Timothy Conner). Only two heirs Sarah and Mercy appear on the sale of John1’s estate to Zachariah Goodale in 1716. This implies that the son John2 had died before this date which is how tradition has it as well. So this son John2 born 28 Dec 1686 in Wells is not the John of Exeter. The births of John1 Drisco's three children are recorded in Wells see: vital records of Wells 1619-1950 ed. This source seems to conflate two different men of the name John Drisco. John2 Drisco son of Teague Drisko was not the son of John1 Drisco of Wells shown here.
