Resided in Pike Co, IL for more than half a century, came to Rockport with his parents in 1834, from Lincoln Co., Misouri. 3. Listed as a Supervisor, Pleasant Vale, in 1876. (p.318) 4. 5. Spelling of name "Bramble" in 1870, "Brammell" in 1880 Census. There is some reason to believe that "Bramble" was the original form of the name and succeeding generations preferred "Brammell". 6. Went out to California in 1852 but returned to Pike County. (Gold fever?)
