There are not very many Yergers/Jergers (or other spellings) listed in Berks Co. in the 1790 census. Sibilla Yerger is listed as a single female and is living in Windsor. The only John listed seems to have a young family and lives in Bern. A single John Yerger over age 16 lives in Reading, but is probably not the one married to Sibilla.

This book contains 598 pages; its size is 13 x 8 inches; bound in boards, which are covered with parchment, adorned with various kinds of impressions, the most prominent of which are the representations of crowned heads. It was owned by John Yerger, Sr., who resided near the Swamp Creek, in New Hanover township, whose parents are supposed to have brought it from Germany. David R. Leister, of the same township, bought it at the executor's sale and presented it to his son, the exhibitor, in 1851.

Marriages: Jüger, Johannes and Schneiderin, Eva Elizabeth, md. April 12, 1748, in New Hanover Twp.
