confirmed Sunday after Easter 1736 Apparently some children> From Judy Morgan, 2007 Hi Earl This will is a gold mine - thanx for this. Catharine Jorger/Jurger (dgtr of immigrant George) married Peter Weiser (per Judy Hull's research of several years ago) Peter was the son of Conrad Weiser (you probably know the famous Berks co story of Conrad Weiser who was from Schoharie Co, NY who was captured by the Indians when he was a child and he lived with them to adulthood. Thus, learning their language, customs, etc. After he escaped, he became an Indian agent for the US govt as a noegotiator of Indian affairs. Very well known man. He eventually migrated to Berks Co, Pa. I know of the conrad Weiser story thru another of my Berks Co lines. I have done a lot of research in Berks Co myself. Judy Descendants of CATHARINA JORGER/JOERGER Generation No. 1 1. CATHARINA2 JORGER/JOERGER (JOAHANNES GEORG1 JOERGER) was born Abt. 1736, and died Aft. 1787. She married PETER WEISER, son of CONRAD WEISER and ANN FECK. He was born February 27, 1729/30 in TULPEHOCKEN TWP, BERKS CO, PENN, and died 1785. Notes for CATHARINA JORGER/JOERGER: Catharina Joerger (d. after 1787) m. Peter Weiser (b. 27 Feb 1730, Tulpehocken Twp, Berks Co., PA - ca. 1785) and had two daughters and four sons. Peter was the son of Col. Conrad Weiser whose home is now an historic site. Her children inherited a large sum from her father (Georg) when he died. The will stated Catharine had been given a good amount of money prior to her father's death and got very little in the will. The Peter Weisers seem to have lived in Reading until the mid 1770's when they moved to Northumberland County on a Weiser tract of land. Land deeds indicate they were back in Berks County (at Womelsdorf?) by 1785. There are no more documents with his name after that date. Peter was called a "saddler". Children of CATHARINA JORGER/JOERGER and PETER WEISER are: i. DAUGHTERS (2)3 WEISER. ii. SONS (4) References
