    Church Book Obituary - "Johann Heinrich Gemmer died October 31, 1914. He was born September 6, 1835 in Rettert, Duchy of Nassau. Having been in frail health for a long time, his resistance was soon broken when he became seriously ill 10 days before his death. On Saturday, October 31, 1914 he was released from his pain. He was buried November 2 on the new cemetery of St. Paul's Congregation. Age 79 years, 1 month and 25 days."
