m. 25 Feb 1747
Facts and Events
Joan Crook's origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is on 25th February 1747, when she was married at Thelbridge in Devon to William Veysey. They appear to have had four children together between 1747 and 1754, three of whom were baptised at Witheridge and one at Rackenford, although all these baptisms describe the family as living in Thelbridge, with one specifying the hamlet of Buddleswick. Joan has yet to be traced after the baptism of her fourth child in 1754; there are at least two burials of people called Joan Veysey at Rackenford between 1774 and 1786, either of which could be her. |
