It seems that Jesse Laird was born 1797 and first married an Edwards. To this couple were born two boys of whom we must take note. One was Abrham born in 1821 and another, Tom, born in 1826. Later, Abraham married Rachel Richardson, a sister of his stepmother and Tom married Susan Parkman, a niece of his stepmother.
