See Father's Notes. ! 2. 1850 Smith Co.,MS Census--List Abram Laird Age 29, with Rachael age 28, and the following children:Elijah 8, Silas 6, Calpernia 4, Julia 2,and Elijah Richardson age 67. ! 3. Book-- Richardson,----and Related Families. States that they moved to Jones County in a community north of SoSo called "Union Line" Abraham is buried there with a marker,Rachel also but no marker has been found. Also in this book is the following story: "An interesting story is told about Abraham Laird and his brother Tom. It is said that their mother died while they were young and that an "old maid aunt" stole them from the Smith-Scott County neighborhood and took them to Lincoln County. Rachel's son Sylvanus (Sib) Laird was the last survivving grandchild of old Elijah Richardson. He was interviewed for this record before his death in 1949." ! 4. NOTE: Josiah Lard had a son named Abraham b. abt 1821 and I thought at one time that these were the same person but that Abraham married Malinda Woods in 1848 Smith Co.,MS. and had a son named Abraham. ! 5.
