Copied 17 Jan 1968, in possession of Karen Reader. Jeanne was born 1631 in France, married in 1643 at Port Royal [was she really only about 12 years old?] !BIRTH: Born in 1631? See letter from A. Henri CHAMPAGNE, 215 Bouchard Avenue, Dracut, MA 01826, in Jan 1995. Also letter from S. Trahan WOLFE in Jan 1995. Also on Pedigree Chart of Peggy Walker. Jeanne was apparently one of the 2 children who accompanied her parents to Port Royal, Acadia in 1636. This source also says that her mother was Marguerite BRUN, born in La Chaussée near Loudun. !CHRISTENING-RESIDENCES: She acted as godmother in 1639 at a baptism in the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste of Port Royal, Acadia, for the eldest daughter of Charles de Menou and Jeanne MOTIN. Where are parents?] !CENSUS: 1698, Beaubassin, Acadia, age 72 years [sic]. Living with her and her husband are Ger. BOURGEOIS, 48, and his wife Madne. DUGAS, 34.
