Copied 17 Jan 1968, in possession of Karen Reader. Jeanne was born 1631 in France, married in 1643 at Port Royal [was she really only about 12 years old?]

Jeanne was apparently one of the 2 children who accompanied her parents to Port Royal, Acadia in 1636. This source also says that her mother was Marguerite BRUN, born in La Chaussée near Loudun.

!CHRISTENING-RESIDENCES: She acted as godmother in 1639 at a baptism in the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste of Port Royal, Acadia, for the eldest daughter of Charles de Menou and Jeanne MOTIN. (See article in Genealogy and Family History, vol. 2, No. 1 (Spring 1969).

DEATH: She was alive for the 1698 census, but missing on the 1700.
