Jeanne (Platte) Jones was born on February 26, 1918 in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois. She was the seventh daughter and twelfth child of Joseph Platte and Adilena Schindler.

Notes

Inducted into the Illinois Amateur Softball Association (A.S.A.) Hall of Fame in 1983. Jeanne and her husband, Clarence, are the only husband and wife team elected to the Hall of Fame. Jeanne was elected as a catcher and Clarence as a coach.

Jeanne (Platte) Jones passed away on October 8, 2014 in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois. She is buried in Fon du Lac Township Cemetery, East Peoria, Tazewell County, Illinois.
