Martin and Marie’s third son, Jean married 1704 to Marie-Anne Brault, married 1731 to Marie Amirault - he had 14 children. They and their children were also scattered during the Deportation. At least one, Jean, was dead before the Deportation, but his widow died at sea during the Deportation. Another son, Olivier married Marie-Anne Part, and his entire family died at sea. Three children, Françoise, Madeleine and Anne-Marie went to France. One daughter, Catherine-Marie died in Martinique.
Another of Jean’s sons Claude, married 1737 Anne Comeau, had his children and grandchildren scattered to France, England, the Faulkland Island, Newfoundland and Louisiana. The son of Claude who went to Louisiana, Étienne, settled with his family first at St. Jacques de Cabahannocer (St. James Parish). Most of his children resettled in the St. Martinville area. Some of Claude’s grandchildren ended up in Guadeloupe. Link to Benoit page
